About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to lead the development and execution of a comprehensive external communications strategy that supports fundraising efforts, engages donors, and raises revenue. The CMO will be responsible for supervising and mentoring a team of full-time employees and freelancers, as well as serving as a strategic thought leader and partner to the CEO and Board. This role involves overseeing the organization's marketing and communications strategy, crisis communications, branding efforts, press and public relations, and various fundraising programs. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, a minimum of 10 years' experience in marketing and communications within a nonprofit environment, and a strong understanding of the Jewish community and its challenges. Candidates for the CMO position at the company should possess extensive knowledge of project management, budgeting, and experience in implementing broad-based marketing strategies, including e-marketing, direct mail, and social networking. The role requires excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with proficiency in English and knowledge of Hebrew being a plus. The CMO will be expected to have a strategic, forward-thinking mindset, strong implementation skills, and the ability to make quick, sound decisions. A solid understanding of the organization's mission and operations, as well as the ability to work with diverse audiences and all levels of management, is essential. The position also demands a high level of attention to detail, the ability to work under pressure, and a willingness to be available during crisis situations.
